Arnaldo Richards serves the same food he grew up eating. Having parents and grandparents, and even great-grandparents who grew up over the diverse culinary landscape, the menu at Pico's is a scrapbook of their favorite meals from the seven regions of Mexico. From the Yucatan, comes the method of cooking meats wrapped in banana leaves. Fresh seafood from the waters of the Gulf and the Pacific is cooked with grilled onions and poblano peppers, or the sophisticated sauces from the Mexico City region.
It's customer service is great....they take pride in their preparation of the food and it taste like they really care....instead of just throwing on a plate and calling it mexican
This is a super Mex-Mex restaurant. In the Spring, their soft shelled crab is "to die for". Great drinks and superb food. It is not a chain. Definitely worth a try.
If you want to eat authentic mexican food - this is the place to go. The soft shell crabs are the best. Better than you can find in New Orleans. Their tenderloin steak is mouth watering. My favorite is the chicken wrapped in banana leaves. The margarita's are outstanding and the bar has the best tequila selection I have ever seen.
I called around for prices and this place has the best manager I have ever spoken to, he made sure that what I wanted is what I actually needed. He did not try to add anything to it. I order a large order for a group of 20 and when it was time for me to pick it up, it was hot and ready, everyone at the home enjoyed everything. this is the place to go for sure.
