Meridian is Houston's favorite Downtown concert, party and special events venue. Located at 1503 Chartres, on the 59 feeder between Leeland and Bell, across from the Brown Convention Center and Toyota Center, the Venue is right in the heart of the newest up and coming section of downtown. Meridian is an awesome venue with a wonderful staff. I always have an amazing time when im there. Its spacious yet an intimate setting allowing customers to be close and interact with the bands. They have affordable drink prices and prompt and professional bartenders. Keep up the great work!!
Well, it's really all about the people isn't it? The Meridian always seems to offer that extra added 'umph'! The line up of parties and concerts is truly amazing. There is something for EVERYONE all through the year. From the staff to the customers, everywhere you look, you see the content faces of patrons and managment mingling with one another.
And as far as seating and venue... just keeps getting better all the time! Great place to sit back and enjoy a drink with friends in semi private booth areas. Or get out on the dancefloor and get lost in the music. It's a great place with a grinding vibe!

I'm a big fan of live music and the Meridian has it all -- plenty of room, great sound, great bartenders. It's centrally located (no more driving out to 1960 just to hear a rock band) and there's plenty of parking on well-lit streets.
Very intimate set-up, not a bad seat in the house. Full bar set up, every concert I've seen the musicians hang out & drink w/everyone after the show. LOVE IT!
Meridian has a great mix of shows from all genres with nationals and support for locals. It has great sound, the staff is cool, and I don't pay corporate jacked-up prices for drinks. When I go to buy tickets I always get good background info on the acts and what's going on in entertainment (and usually score some posters) from the owner.
Great atmosphere and easily accessible bars. You can view the stage well from any spot, including the side, because they have a window there to see on stage during a performance. Parking nearby is cheap and safe, well secured. Price is right.
